Project cargo services. All cargo types. All six corridors.

Everything we do is built around one question: how do we move your cargo — however large, however complex, wherever it is going — safely, compliantly, and on time.

Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Cargo

Out-of-gauge cargo is any shipment that exceeds standard container dimensions in length, width, height, or weight — requiring special handling, non-standard equipment, route assessment, and regulatory permits at every point of the journey.

We manage OOG cargo movements from vessel arrival at Dar es Salaam port through to final delivery at the project site — including port handling, customs clearance, crane deployment, route survey, permit coordination, and escort logistics across all six corridor routes.

  • Power transformers and substation components
  • Mining machinery — excavators, haul trucks, processing plant
  • Energy equipment — wind turbine components, solar installation plant
  • Industrial generators and turbines
  • Prefabricated modules and steel structures
  • Drilling rigs and oilfield equipment
  • Construction plant — cranes, piling equipment, road machinery

Heavy Lift Operations

Heavy lift is not just about equipment — it is about the engineering, the planning, and the precision required to move cargo safely when a single error costs a project team weeks.

We coordinate heavy lift operations at Dar es Salaam port and at destination, including marine surveys, load spread calculations, crane subcontracting, and lifting supervision. Where specialist lifting contractors are required, we manage the subcontract and retain overall responsibility for the operation.

  • Pre-lift marine survey and cargo condition inspection
  • Crane specification and subcontractor coordination
  • Load spread and trailer engineering calculations
  • Port authority and TPA coordination for heavy lift berth access
  • Lifting supervision and safety compliance
  • Documentation for overweight and special cargo customs declarations

Break Bulk Handling

Break bulk cargo — unpackaged, non-containerised shipments — requires individual handling, bespoke securing and lashing, and careful coordination between vessel operators, port authorities, and inland transport.

We handle the full break bulk cycle: vessel coordination, port reception, customs clearance, storage where required, loading onto road transport, and delivery to corridor destinations.

  • Steel pipes, beams, and structural sections
  • Timber and lumber shipments
  • Large industrial machinery (uncrated)
  • Agricultural equipment and implements
  • Vehicle and rolling stock shipments (RoRo and break bulk)
  • General project materials not suited to containerisation

Customs Clearance & Compliance

Project cargo clearance in Tanzania is governed by TANCIS, TANESW, and TRA — and for corridor transit, by the regulatory requirements of each destination country. Getting the documentation right the first time is the difference between cargo moving and cargo sitting at the border.

Our customs compliance team manages every declaration, permit application, and regulatory submission for import, export, and corridor transit cargo.

  • TANCIS import and export declarations
  • TANESW single window submissions
  • TRA tax and duty calculations for project cargo
  • Transit bond documentation for corridor countries
  • Special cargo permits — oversize, hazardous, time-sensitive
  • Pre-arrival documentation review and correction
  • Coordination with Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) for priority clearance
  • Liaison with destination-country customs agents for border pre-clearance

  • Oversize transport permit applications in Tanzania and destination country
  • Police escort coordination for abnormal loads
  • Road haulage subcontracting and supervision
  • Real-time shipment tracking and client progress updates
  • Multi-border customs coordination (Tanzania + transit countries)
  • Destination delivery confirmation and documentation handover
